Mr. Foday Alimamy Nabay

of Columbus, Ohio | Sunrise: July 17, 1963 — Sunset: November 28, 2025

The passing of Mr. Foday Alimamy Nabay deeply saddens the YAME Digital online news community. Upon our return from a long stay in Australia last weekend, we were shocked and heartbroken to receive this sad news.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Seray, the twin boys, his daughter, and his grandchildren. We will always treasure the many conversations we shared about politics and his insightful contributions to the news clips on the yame.space website. He will be dearly missed.

A gallant compatriot and a passionate civil society activist, he always had the best interests of Sierra Leone’s future at heart. Alimamy was a brave, honest, and thought-leader who never hesitated to share his genuine insights on the issues affecting our beloved motherland.

The Janazah prayer was held on December 7, 2025, at Masjid Ul Bayinnah in Ohio, located at 3300 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus. He was laid to rest immediately afterward at the Islamic Cemetery of Columbus, 3880 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH 43219.

May Allah Bless the Soul of Our Beloved Brother
