Another round of bad news—Tuesday just hit us with another ugly update. AN AIRLINE operating flights in the UK has collapsed into liquidation. Ascend Airways offers aircraft to other airlines, with previous carriers including Oman Air, Air Sierra Leone, and Tui Airways. [READ More]

As a result, Air Sierra Leone suspends its UK and Banjul routes following the aircraft provider's bankruptcy.

In a statement issued to customers, the airline described the development as unforeseen, noting that the immediate cessation of Ascend Airways’ operations has significantly disrupted its flight schedule.

“As a precautionary measure to ensure safety, reliability, and long-term sustainability, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend operations on these routes while we secure a new aircraft provider and complete all regulatory requirements,” the statement read.

The airline reassured passengers that affected customers will receive full support, including options for refunds or rebooking on future flights once services resume.
