Belgium Opens Trial Over €550 Million Sierra Leone‑Linked Cocaine Seizure

The real problem is our refusal to confront the truth. Sierra Leone has allowed weak systems and poor oversight to turn our ports into easy corridors for traffickers and criminal networks.

The trial centers on a group of 22 people accused of orchestrating or facilitating the import operation, including alleged traffickers, logistics facilitators, and intermediaries. Belgian courts are using this trial to test evidence on smuggling routes, money‑laundering channels, and whether corrupt networks inside Sierra Leone helped conceal the shipment.

Shockwaves from the Diaspora: Sierra Leoneans Face Grave Criminal Charges in the United States

Once part of President Bio’s inner circle, Ibrahim George Kallon’s ICE arrest ignites outrage — while fellow Sierra Leonean Abdul Jalloh stands accused in a fatal Virginia stabbing that’s jolted both nations.

According to ICE, Kallon had reportedly been undergoing correctional officer training in Delaware County at the time the charges were filed. Sources indicate he had traveled to the U.S. as part of a presidential delegation attending a United Nations summit but allegedly declined to return to Sierra Leone thereafter.

In a separate case, 32-year-old Abdul Jalloh has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 41-year-old Stephanie Minter in Fairfax County, in the state of Virginia.

'Bolle' Jos Leijdekkers and the Broader Developments in Dutch and International Organized Crime

European and African authorities have been locked in a high-stakes game for Jos Leijdekkers, the Dutch-born cocaine trafficker widely known by the alias Bolle Jos. Convicted in absentia and on Europol’s most-wanted list, Leijdekkers remains a fugitive — eluding capture and drawing fresh international scrutiny as law enforcement ramps up efforts to bring him to justice.

The Netherlands has formally requested Leijdekkers’ arrest and extradition from Sierra Leone, but progress has been slow and complicated by politics and legal barriers.

While Leijdekkers remains free, remnants of the Dutch organized crime underworld continue to make headlines. Ridouan Taghi, once the Netherlands’ most-wanted fugitive linked to the notorious Mocro Maffia network, was arrested in the United Arab Emirates in 2019 and sentenced to life in prison after a landmark trial known as the Marengo case.

The Tucker Carlson Network Documentary: 'Replacing Europe: Following the World's Deadliest Migration Route'

The narrative is that Europe is being invaded and destroyed by Africa, in a crime orchestrated by global leaders.

Released around January 2026. It follows journalist Anthony Rubin and his team as they trace a perilous illegal migration path from West Africa to Europe, highlighting dangers, smuggling networks, and alleged facilitation by NGOs and governments. Carlson mentioned that Sierra Leone comes up as one origin country for migrants converging in Mauritania before the deadly sea crossing. The film argues that this mass migration from Africa is overwhelming and transforming Europe, framed as an orchestrated ‘invasion.’

Separate U.S. reports align with a Sierra Leonean smuggler, Abdul Karim Conteh, leading networks that funneled thousands (including from Iran and Afghanistan) across the Americas to the U.S. border.

Ph.D. (In View): The Road to Recognition Without Achievement

Ph.D. (In View): The Road to Recognition Without Achievement

There’s a peculiar sickness that has gripped our dear Nigeria, and Africa in general, one that doesn’t cause fever or headache but swells the ego faster than garri in hot water.

Somewhere in this jungle of academic aspirations, we have turned “in view” into a permanent residence. You cannot just be “Mr. Okoro.” God forbid! You must be “Dr. Okoro (in view).” Even if the view is still in the far horizon, like the Mambilla Plateau seen from Wukari.

The road to the doctorate, which should be a lonely and rigorous journey of research and reflection, has become an expressway of certificates for sale. Somewhere in the crevices of our educational system, PhDs are being awarded at a rate faster than sachet water. For the right price, you can get your “Doctorate in Leadership and Transformational Strategic Governance” from a mushroom university that doesn’t even have a functioning website.

We judge competence by the length of titles on letterheads. You can’t be appointed a consultant unless you have a Ph.D. Even if your field experience could fill ten libraries. We are quick to say, “We need qualified people,” when what we really mean is “We need titled people.”

KUSH Related Deaths: When a Ministry Responds with Suspicion Instead of Empathy, Solidarity, or Urgency

When a Ministry reacts not with empathy, solidarity, or urgency but with suspicion and administrative threats, it tells you governance has lost its heart and soul.

If our institutions cannot show compassion and rise to the grief and pain of the families and communities shattered by the Kush crisis, then, for the love of God, they must stop adding salt to injury.
